HUN-REN SZTAKI
Role in SOCCER: A sectoral CSIRT and research institute, cybersecurity expert, SOC operator.
The Institute for Computer Science and Control, is another valuable member of the consortium. It operates as a security knowledge hub for the Hungarian Reserach Network and is also the operator of HunCERT, a sectoral computer security incident response team (CSIRT) for national ISPs under NIS2 Directive (EU2022/2555). As the research institute with the most experience in computer security, SZTAKI has taken the responsibility of establishing a federated SOC that will provide security services for all members of the research network.
SZTAKI has several major achievements in research and development fields related to the SOCCER proposal. HunCERT PROBE is a distributed honeypot that offers specialised data sources for threat intelligence gathering for 20+ of the most widely used Internet protocols. SZTAKI is also a leader of a national research project (Rivet) aiming fusion of internal and public information security data sources with heterogeneous characteristics.

Project Consortium
The goal of the consortium is to match technical (TS) and research (SZTAKI) experts with market experts (SI, ORO) to provide a full lifecycle approach to cybersecurity challenges.
